Health information and privacy
All health information that the doctors and staff gather about you is confidential.
Prescription requests
An enrolled patient may request a repeat prescription for regular medication if you have visited the doctor in the previous six months and have had the item presrcribed.
Emergency after hours
In an emergency phone 111 for an Ambulance. If you require urgent care outside of normal hours you can phone our number 03 687 2680 and your call will be diverted to Homecare Medical Ltd (HML) or phone Timaru After Hours Service on 03 684 8209. This will also be answered by the HML service.
Appointments
Consultations are by appointment only.
You can make an appointment by phoning reception between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
Each person requiring to be seen by the doctor needs an individual appointment. This is to avoid long delays when one family member is booked in but one or two other family members expect a consultation at the same time.
Waiting room
On arrival for an appointment please check in with the receptionist by giving your name and the name of the doctor or nurse you are seeing.
Phone messages
The nurses have an allocated phone in time where they will talk briefly to the patient and give out results.
Results
We do not routinely phone patients when a test result comes in. However we will phone you to make an appointment if necessary to discuss the result or to advise you if your test result needs to be followed up in some other way.
Payments
Payment is expected at the time of consultation. CREDIT is not a RIGHT.
